Regional Contract Academy of Training Relaunches New Website to Guide Clients and Trainers 02/01/05
Los Angeles, CA – Launched in January 2005, the dynamic new site leads viewers through the core offerings of the Regional Contract Academy of Training (RCAT), a collabora tive community college business program of East Los Angeles College that provides hands-on, skill-based training to businesses in the Los Angeles and Orange counties. Boasting whole new design based on their core colors and branding developed by the BBMD Barbara Brown Marketing and Design firm ( Ventura, CA ), the RCAT site exhibits a colorful yet professional logo created to reflect the program's unique image.
The site will become the springboard for classroom trainers to review their materials as well as download lesson presentations. Clients' employees, the students, will also have access to resources and eventually, assistance in distance learning.
In addition, the site was retrofitted to better manage the future growth of RCAT's multifunctional corporate training programs, to include recorded lessons and interactive instruction… distance learning was a mere thought prior to this relaunch. Their new site will offer expansive distance learning opportunities, providing a myriad of course offerings and online corporate training programs throughout Southern California.
RCAT fulfills East Los Angeles College's need to provide employee training to its business community that had been previously unmet by corporate training. RCAT provides on-site training to local businesses, as well as in the state-of-the-art training center in Monterey Park . The RCAT Training Center utilizes a high tech computer laboratory, media enhanced smart classrooms, and a variety of conference rooms designed to accommodate small and large training groups. Customized training is concentrated in the areas of business, biotechnology, small manufacturing, culinary, travel, health care, and international trade industries that form the backbone of the economy of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
RCAT has been a leader in addressing the critical nursing shortage in Los Angeles County through for-credit career ladder training programs. The programs lead to a Registered Nurse license and an Associate of Science degree through its collaboration with the ELAC regular course offerings and local hospitals in the County.
Customized employer-paid training programs have been designed to meet the needs of the seven industries: healthcare, culinary, small manufacturing, travel/tourism, biotechnology, international trade and businesses most important to the local economy. Program concentrations include skills like Customer Service, Attitude in the Workplace, Leadership For Management, Communication, Decision Making and Problem Solving, Team Building, Time Management, Business Writing: the Perfect Email, Ethics and Values, Conflict Management in addition to numerous other custom- designed programs specific to clients' business and industry needs.
